So I am now returned back from Jordan and I know it's been a whole month since I have posted but during Christmas and New years in Jordan and going to see family it was a bit hard to post.
However I have to say that I really enjoyed myself this year... maybe it is because I am older and I appreciate things more, but it was as if I was a tourist in a country that I used to spend many summers in with family. This time this journey really opened my eyes to a beautiful country immersed into an old world but like a phoenix rising and entering into our modern world.
I was able to speak at a Rotary Function so I was very happy about that because this is why I am on this trip to go and speak to Rotary clubs and educate them about the foundation and its opportunities that it has for students such as myself. January has basically been about getting back into the gear of things, many friends and flat mates have moved back home and with that comes a new sense of purpose a new opportunity to make friends. School has picked up with an intense week which we started on Monday hence why I have been so busy but assessment should be in a week so hopefully I did well.
Last night and tonight I spoke at two Rotary Clubs and it is very refreshing when I know that I have touched someone with my speech. I have really missed Rotary and what we have to offer. It has been so busy with school and catching up with friends and family that I sometimes forget what got me here in the first place. Going to keep this post short because like I said January is a busy month with school and hopefully by February I will have everything sorted out before I head off to Rome for a week!!
